I honestly could have done without this page, but my website designer said that it was a “must have” to shed light on who I am. My goal was to share my experience and knowledge to help those who find themselves overwhelmed when caring for their parent or elderly loved one - Not talk about me. But here is a little bit about me. . .

Just a peek…

Welcome! My name is Patricia. I never have liked defining or describing myself. But since my mom’s transition to glory in October of 2018, the self-affirmations in my daily journal have shifted from what I am to whose I am. I am God’s child and Mary’s daughter: God’s child, heir of the creator and controller of all things, and Mary’s daughter, progeny of a strong, talented woman who, along with my Dad, raised four children while working and going to night school.

That says it all.

What am I? I’m an eclectic student of life - traditional with a flair. Professionally, I am a lawyer, accountant, strategist, Businesswoman, entrepreneur, mentor, and civic/community leader.

I Am ALSO a wife, daughter, friend, cousin, aunt, godmother, and caregiver. In my spare time, I like to travel, read, play tennis, dance, take classes at Houston Ballet and Rice University, learn about languages, cultures and mobsters, and undertake new adventures - from checking out a new restaurant to trying a hot air balloon ride.

I will share with you how I navigated the sea of caregiver responsibilities; filtering through senior care facilities, vetting geriatric and other medical providers, optimizing nutrition - mine and my parents’, overseeing my parents’ day-to-day care, all while trying to maintain and manage the demands of my life. I also will share life lessons learned along the way. I’ll pass along tips and tricks that you can implement right away in your journey. My hope and prayer is that you gain insight that will make your caregiving experience more peaceful and your life more fulfilling.
